Would You Rather Tag!

Recently I've been getting right into my TAG posts so today I am bringing you the 'Would You Rather' tag. I hope you enjoy! On with the tag!

1. Would you rather lose all of your eyeliners, mascaras, lipstcks and lip glosses or lose all you palettes and eyeshadows?
Definitely would rather lose my palettes and eyeshadows because I rarely wear them anyway.

2. Would you rather chop all of your hair off or never be able to cut it again?

Chop off all my hair. I don't think I could deal with the amount of split ends I would get and at least with my option I could cut it whenever I wanted.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Coral.

4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Hmm, tough one. Probably clothes because at least they would all be able to be worn while if I got makeup then it would probably go bad before I got to using it.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as lipstick. I'd make sure to choose a nice coloured eyeliner though.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Well we don't have sephora in the UK, but I'd choose there anyway because they carry multiple brands unlike MAC.

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?

Definitely one eyeshadow colour, because like I said earlier, I don't wear much eyeshadow.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

I like the look of summer clothes better, but it gets pretty cold here in Scotland. I'd probably say summer clothes because I can always move somewhere like Australia.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Dark nails I think.

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or favourite eye product?

Favourite eye product, because my favourite lip product was personalised and given to me by a friend and it's just irreplaceable.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear you hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

Ponytail because then you could have different variations such as curled or straight, wavy etc.

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never wear lipgloss?

Never wear lipgloss because I don't wear it anyway.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Sharpie them in. My eyebrows are black anyway.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Nail polish because sometimes you just have those bad skin days.

DIY Flower Wall Art

I recently decided that I wanted to do more displays on this blog so I did some searching on pinterest and found some beautiful things. I saw a version of this wall art using toilet roll tubes but it was much bigger and more artistic than I could manage so I decided to downscale it. Anyway, here's how to make a nice little DIY display using toilet roll tubes.

I just collected these tubes from around my house although for my display that I made I only used two toilet roll tubes/one kitchen roll tube.
I made lines at every 1cm along my toilet paper tube to mark the thickness of the display. You could alter this to make it thicker or thinner as you liked.

I cut the tubes according to the lines I made. As I said before, I used two toilet paper rolls.

I then arranged the pieces in the design I wanted but I ended up altering this when I was glueing by accidentally adding too many to the middle. This is when you can make this as arty/plain as you would like.

I then glued the pieces together using 'Tacky Glue' which is just personally what I preferred. You could use any type of strong holding glue that you would like. I then used paper clips to hold the pieces together until they dried. This means that no pieces will slip away and glue in a way you don't like.

I painted my design using acrylic paint. I used DecoArt's Crafter's Acrylic in 'Pink Lemonade' and 'Spa Blue'. These pastel colours scream spring and I just love them.

DIY Nail Art Dotting Tools

Today I'm showing you the various ways that you can create dots for your nail art without dotting tools! I love these different ways to create dots using household objects. It also means you don't have to spend money on dotting tools (like I did before i worked these out).

These are the dots that created with the dotting tools. These are just for reference between the actual dotting tools and the other methods. Each method is in a different colour and this one is in dark purple. Anyway on with the other methods!

1. A pencil.
You can use a pencil to get a variety of dots in different sizes depending on how sharp the pencil is. Here I used a reasonable blunt pencil and used light purple. You can also use a pen which has ran out for this.

2. The end of a paint brush.
As I was looking in my nail box for my dotting tools, I found this brush which I then realised that I could use to make a dot. These make a little bit bigger of a dot and I did them in pink.

3. A kirby grip/bobby pin.
The little blobs at the end of a hair grip are perfect for creating reasonable sized dots. I did these in blue.

4. A cocktail stick/tooth pick
These at first create very small dots, which I have done, but you can build up the nail polish on the end of the stick to create bigger dots. I accidentally did these in the same colour of as the brush dots but you can tell the difference because the dots are a lot smaller.

If you're interested in buying dotting tools, mines only cost a couple of pounds from ebay.

Thanks for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed! If you use any of these methods to create nail art I'd love if you tagged me on the picture on instagram (@aspectofbeauty).

Keep your eyes peeled for more DIYs that will be coming your way!

Graze Box Review & GIVEAWAY!

So lately I decided to treat myself and try a Graze box. If you didn't know, Graze is a company that provide healthy snacks that are absolutely delicious! Anyway, on with my review of this product!

You can get a Graze box for only £3.99 here.
I found the whole Graze system really quite easy as your snacks are easily delivered through your post box. You have the choice to receive your boxes either once a week or once a fortnight. If you only want a one off box then there is also that option. If you decide that you do not want any more boxes, it is easy to cancel your deliveries at any time. There are a variety of box types available including one for chocolate lovers and one for kids. I got the nibble box which has the most variety.
Also, all of the packaging is 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

On the Graze website you can choose from a huge variety of healthy snacks. At first, everything is selected as 'try' which means you could get them in your box. You can go through the snacks and pick 'bin' for any snacks that you never want in your box. In my box I got: chocolate orange, banoffee dippers, black forest and slightly sweet popcorn. I enjoyed the majority of these but the black forest cake was not my cup of tea. I especially enjoyed the chocolate orange which contained raising, orange raisins, pieces of milk chocolate and orange chocolate coated raisins. It was really delightful.

As well as the box, I was also given two £5 gift vouchers for the Graze website as well as a friend code. So, I've decided that I want to give away these vouchers to you because I thought that it was about time that I gave back to you. Details of this giveaway will be shown further down in this post so make sure you check them out for a chance to win!
Also, in case you do not win this giveaway then I have a friendcode for you so that you can get your 1st, 5th and 10th box free! Just simply type in the code EMMAT7M1B into the gift voucher section of 'my payments' to get your boxes free. You can also use this code with the £5 gift voucher. You can only use this code once and only if you have not received a free box from Graze before.

Ok, so to enter this you must click the link at the bottom of this page. This giveaway is run by Rafflecopter therefore it is completely fair and random. I am sorry but this giveaway is UK based only. You will need to provide me with your address and email address so that I can send the voucher to you and get in contact with you. Blog Your Heart Out Tag

Today I decided that i wanted to do a bit more of a chatty post so that you can get to know me a bit better than you already do. I've previously done the 'get to know me' tag which can be found here. Anyway, on with the tag!

1. Who/what encouraged you to start blogging?
The major thing that made me want to start blogging was that I wanted a place that I could just talk about things that interest me and so that I can help people out with their product issues. The main people that encouraged me to start blogging were Louise (SprinkleofGlitter on youtube, whose blog is here) and Zoe Sugg (blog linked here).

2. How did you choose what topics to blog about?
I already knew before I started the blog that I wanted it to be beauty related, but I also wanted a place to let my geeky side out. I already had my twitter page 'heartingTHG' (linked here) and I decided that I also wanted to make that it's own blog. It had been no where near as successful as this blog but I'll take it as a work in progress.

3. What is something most people don't know about you?
Most people don't know that I own this blog. I have one friend that knows about my other blog and one friend that knows about this blog. Even my mum doesn't know but I will tell her when the time is right.

4. What 3 words describe your style?
Hmm, tough one. I go through phases of different styles but at the moment I'd have to say lacey, quirky and me. (Ooh, deep last one there).

5. What do you love to do when you are not blogging?
In my spare time I do a lot of dancing, which most of you don't know. If you'd like some dance-related posts just leave a comment below with what you would like to see. Also I love reading books. Yeah.

Thanks for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it! Make sure you leave any requests you might have down below!

Lush Haul!

Over the past couple of weeks I've been popping into Lush every so often and picking up a thing or two so today I've decided to show you what I got. I've mainly got bath bombs but oh well. Here they are:

This smells pretty frickin' amazing and looks so pretty. I think the little rose in the middle just completes the whole thing and it's just absolutely lovely. I'm so excited to use this!

This might look plain and boring, but it's not! This has different coloured speckles through it and when put in the bath it turns the water orange! The smell of this is what really drew me to it. It smells like lemon sherbet or refreshers. It's glorious.

This again smells pretty darn amazing and it is so cute! I was so happy when I found out that all the proceeds that are raised through this product go towards anti-badger cull products in the UK. It's good to think that while I'm being all relaxed in my bath that I'm helping badgers.

I've already used this so you actually get more product than is in the tub in the picture. Anyway, I am really happy with this product and I think it really has been effective in clearing up my skin. I love it. It has a very strong peppermint smell and it feels very much like menthol on your skin and you can really feel it working.

Thanks for reading this blogpost, I hope you enjoyed! Let me know if you try out any of these products and also leave below what your favourite product from lush is in the comments! There will soon be a review of one of the lush bubble bars to keep an eye out for that!

Dealing with EXAMS!

I have been doing exams for the last 2 years and along the way I have picked up some things that need to be done. I am still not exactly perfect at preparing for exams and I probably never will be! Anyway, today I wanted to share with you my tips and tricks for dealing with exams!

1. Don't get stressed!
This is probably easier for me to say than some other people because I don't really get stressed but I know some of you out there do! Just try to relax yourself by taking a bath or putting on a facemask, whatever you might do! if you get stressed out then you will be more concerned about the fact that you are stressed than the actual exam preparation. Stay calm.

2. Prepare! Prepare! Prepare!
I myself procrastinate quite a fair bit, but you need to at least try to keep yourself on track! You need to feel as if you are going into an exam fully prepared so that you can do your very best. If you do not prepare or revise then you will not do your best. You want to try to give yourself your best chance to get the best mark.

3. Calm!
This is kind of the same as the first one, but it's at a different time that you need to calm down. In Scotland you sit your exams around May and get your results in August. That's quite a while to wait! I know a lot of people who are really nervous right up until they get their results which isn't the best way to do it. You are better to just tell yourself that you did your best and try to forget about it because ultimately you cannot change your mark once it is done!

4. Food is your best friend!
This sounds so weird but to save yourself from getting distracted you need to find something that you can do while revising. I like to have a bit of background noise although depending what it is (youtube videos, TV) then I can get distracted. Anyway, if you eat healthy foods then it helps you find something as well as the studying that you can do. If that makes any sense.

Ii hope these kind of made sense and are helpful to you! Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!

Spring Fashion Haul | Boohoo, H&M and F&F

So I've recently been doing a bit of shopping for a few new items for spring. Even though quite a few of them aren't exactly 'springy'. Anyway, here are pieces that I picked up.

I'll start off with the items I got from Boohoo.

Caroline Cap Sleeve Lace Skater Dress in 'Rose Pink' - £20
This is a beautiful dress which can be dressed down or dressed up. Its really comfortable and is very flattering. Its's the perfect length and the silver accents in the lace are absolutely beautiful! A great quality dress for only £20!

Alice Swing Vest in 'Berry' - £6
This vest is perfect for me! i have a reasonable small torso compared to the length of my legs and this sits perfectly! It does not sit too low which some of these style tops do and is slightly cropped. Great quality top for only £6!

(The top) Isabel Basic High Neck Sleeve Bodysuit - £6 (reduced from £8)
This bodysuit is perfect for wearing with skirts or shorts and just looks so nice! The material is thinner than the other pieces but I don't mind for £6. I just cannot believe the prices of this site! I love it!

Now, I'm away from Boohoo and onto H&M.
(My skirt) Floral Pattered Circular Skirt - £9.99
I love this skirt because it goes with everything! It's the perfect length and isn't too short which is important for those windy days! Very comfortable and quirky!

Woven Top - £9.99
When I saw this top it was like love at first sight. It is made of a breathable lightweight fabric which will be perfect for the warm weather (if it ever comes to Scotland). It's really comfortable and will be great for the spring/summer.

White Twill Shorts with Lace - £19.99
I have been looking for a nice pair of high waisted shorts for a while and when I saw these I knew they were the ones! I have had a thing for lace lately so when I saw that they had lace then that was an added bonus. These are absolutely gorgeous and are versatile because they are white. I love them!

Ok, now onto F&F which can be found in Tesco.
Zip Back Gladiator Sandals in brown - £15
I was so surprised when I saw these in tesco! These sandals are very comfortable and look great with anything! I was very surprised when I saw these in Tesco and I couldn't believe that they were £15!

Woven Swing Camisole in mint - £8
I was again quite surprised when I saw this in tesco. This is again perfect for me because it has adjustable straps. The colour is perfect and it just looks beautiful. It feels very good quality and is great for just £8!

Thanks for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed and you get inspiration for your spring wardrobe!
